Cheshire East Council

Authority uses powerPerfector to set an example

Why it is interesting: When Cheshire East committed to a 25% reduction in CO2, the council needed to find products and solutions that would not only be effective but be effective quickly. Early investments in powerPerfector’s voltage optimisation and several other energy efficiency measures are now paying dividends.

National Express Group Plc

In the fast lane to savings at National Express

Why it is interesting: National Express has become the first transport company to be awarded the ‘Gold Standard’ by Carbon Saver. At the heart of the company’s carbon reduction programme was powerPerfector’s voltage optimisation.

National Grid

Electric performance

Why it is interesting: It has long been asked of us, how do we know that the ‘grid’ won’t change the output from 242V down to 220V? The answer is that the National Grid is a client and advocate of powerPerfector technology.

Annuanl savings of £25,800

Why it is interesting: AXA is a leading financial services company focusing on life and pensions, wealth management, protection, health and general insurance. After AXA sent their annual electricity consumption details for Sussex House, it was possible to give a provisional quote for a powerPerfector unit and the energy savings that would be expected. Like most office buildings, Suffolk House has a broad a mix of electrical loads, consisting mainly of lighting, HVAC and computers. AXA had already i mplemented a number of energy efficiency measures across the site: energy efficient high frequency lighting had been installed; all air conditioning units had inverter drives fitted; additionally all IT equipment was protected by a UPS. The installation was completed on a weekend when there would be no disturbance to the building and there was no noticeable change to the operation of the building. A comparison of these points with the expected level for temperature shows a 6% reduction in average kWh consumption – a figure that delighted the client.

Annual Savings: kWh: 6% | CO2: 184,251kg | £25,800

*The greengauge represents the aggregate savings of powerPerfector installations in the UK, Ireland, Cyprus and Denmark. Savings correct at the time of installation using either IPMVP savings analysis or reasonable estimates, where savings analysis was not possible. Actual savings may change over time for example due to energy pricing, occupancy, equipment, rates, building re-purposing and further energy efficiency measures.
