The Salix funding option applies only to public sector organisations and has set criteria which must be met before funding is released. These criteria relate to the viability of the project in terms of the relative cost per tonne of CO2 saved. Salix projects are ‘projected to save the UK public sector a lifetime total of £660m in energy bills, reducing CO2 emissions by four million tonnes’.
Several VPO® projects have utilised SALIX funding to achieve financial and carbon emission targets. Loans can cover 100% of the project cost and are interest free. This means that it is most likely that the project can be paid for entirely out of the financial savings made while the site benefits from the power conditioning benefits of VPO® and the long term savings after loan repayment.
Salix funding is released in tranches on a first come first serve basis. Our team will be able to help you through the application and approval process.
